CRM Lead Sync
CRM lead sync is the automated transfer of lead and booking information from wherever it was captured into a business’s customer relationship management software, without manual re-entry.
Why it matters
Without sync, leads captured by phone, email, or form sit disconnected from the system a sales or office team actually works from, which means some are forgotten.
Sync typically happens through an API the CRM provides, or sometimes through a simpler webhook or CSV import for tools with limited integration options. What is possible depends entirely on the specific CRM in use.
Good sync includes not just the contact’s name and number but the source (which channel, which campaign) and a summary of the conversation, so the next person to pick up the lead has full context.
Example
A lead captured by web form at 9:47 PM is automatically created as a new contact in the business’s CRM by 9:48 PM, tagged with the source "missed call" and a summary of the exchange.
